Sint Maarten, a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, encompasses the southern half of this amazing Caribbean island. This itinerary will focus on the "Dutch Side" of the island and in particular the sites and activities of the capital city of Philipsburg, Princess Juliana International Airport, and Maho Beach.
Official languages are Dutch and English as well as a local English-based Creole dialect is also spoken.
Grocery stores and various businesses may have prices expressed in Netherland Antilles Florins (NAF), which is the local currency, also called the Guilders, but the U.S. Dollar and the Euro will gladly be accepted.
